Kiah Hochstetler is a founding partner at Last Best Partners, where his visionary leadership and comprehensive expertise in finance, project management, and community development drive transformative investments and sustainable growth. Based in Missoula, Montana, Kiah currently oversees a landmark $125M public–private partnership designed to stimulate community growth and provide affordable housing solutions. This multifaceted project features a Community Land Trust component delivering 89 condos and townhomes for individuals earning less than 120% of the Area Median Income, alongside a market rate segment that includes 225 apartments and 35,000 square feet of commercial space hosting essential local amenities such as a grocery, tap house, gym, and daycare.

In his role, Kiah expertly navigates stakeholder collaboration, ensuring the timely delivery of architectural and engineering requirements while rigorously managing project schedules, budgets, and financial pro formas. His strategic negotiations fortify partnerships with local authorities, exemplified by his work with the City of Missoula, and safeguard the investment of both equity and secured debt.

Beyond this flagship project, Kiah’s dynamic career spans several successful ventures. As CFO and partner at Affari Project, he played a pivotal role in launching Affari Architecture & Development, a venture dedicated to developing and operating missing middle infill housing. He is also the co-founder of Goodworks Evergreen, where he led the acquisition of multiple companies—overseeing negotiations, legal processes, and integration strategies that collectively added significant scale and revenue. Additionally, as the founder of SDA Solutions, he established a platform that merged with Tax Sale Resources in 2020, growing the company’s assets under management to over $2 billion and providing crucial financial services to tax deed investors. Kiah further contributes to community development as a co-founder of Montana Code School, addressing the local talent gap by training aspiring software developers.

Kiah’s broad spectrum of experience—from large-scale project oversight and financial stewardship to strategic acquisitions and entrepreneurial innovation—makes him an invaluable asset at Last Best Partners. His commitment to enhancing community infrastructure and driving economic growth continues to set the stage for meaningful, long-term investment success.
